“Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire” (2023), directed by Prashanth Neel and produced by Vijay Kiragandur, is an epic Telugu action film starring Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran. Set in the dystopian city-state of Khansaar, it unfolds the alliance between Deva (Prabhas) and Varadha (Prithviraj) as they navigate a coup for Varadha’s ascent to power.

Prashanth Neel, worked on the film’s screenplay after the release of Ugramm (2014), and development of the film began in early 2015.[citation needed] However, he decided to split the film in two parts, as the narration of this story is in a non-linear format, and the decision to split the film into two parts, also had to with the commercial prospects.
